Mathilde Chapoutier
History
Mathilde Chapoutier, daughter of Michel Chapoutier, became commercial director of the M. Chapoutier group in 2017. In the tradition of her father, she explored France and the world in search of terroirs with remarkable potential and launched her own range, Mathilde Chapoutier Sélection, symbolized by a wind rose representing her exploration beyond the native Rhône Valley.
Mathilde Chapoutier's range of wines, designed to be fruity, fresh and friendly. It includes several appellations outside the Maison's Rhodanian cradle: Duchy of Uzès, Languedoc, Provence (Côtes de Provence Sainte-Victoire), Bordeaux and Ribera del Duero (Spain).
The Vineyard
For the cuvée rosé de Provence, the vines are located east of Aix-en-Provence, at the foot of the Sainte-Victoire and Aurélien massifs, offering a diversity of exposures and soil types. The harvests are carried out at night and quickly pressed for cold winemaking, guaranteeing freshness and vivacity to the wine.
