Domaine des Chauchoux
History
Domaine created in the 1920s by André Belleville. Since then, four generations have taken over the torch, in the ancestral buildings where the production of the 20 hectares of vines in place is now optimized.
Family estate located in Rully, in Côte Chalonnaise (Burgundy), between Beaune and Chalon-sur-Saône, in the natural extension of the Côte de Beaune. The estate brings together the vineyards of Manigley and Chauchoux, member of the Charter of Independent Winegrowers. Annual production of about 130,000 bottles, divided equally between white Chardonnay and red Pinot Noir.
The Vineyard
20-hectare vineyard on the Rully appellation (350 hectares in total), oriented east/southeast. Typical clay-limestone soils of Burgundy: Pinot Noir on predominantly clay plots, Chardonnay on predominantly limestone plots.
