Perraton Frères Estate

History

Coming from a rural polyculture family, René Perraton created the wine estate in 1970 by buying vineyards that had belonged to his grandfather Charles Perraton, a pioneer of appellations of origin and co-founder of the AOC Pouilly-Fuissé. After years of membership in the village's cooperative winery, René withdrew in 1986 to market his wines himself. Christophe joined the farm in 1995 after studying viticulture and oenology, then his brother Franck in 1998; they officially took over the family estate in 2004 when their parents retired. Since 2018, Christophe has been managing the operation with his wife Delphine.

12-hectare family estate located in Chaintré, on the southern edge of Burgundy (Mâconnais). The wines are vinified and aged in a cellar building dating from 1849; a new cellar (barrel cellar and large capacity winery) was built in 2014. Appellations produced: Pouilly-Fuissé, Pouilly-Vinzelles, Viré-Clessé, Mâcon-Chaintré, Mâcon-Loché, Mâcon-Vinzelles and Crémant de Bourgogne.
