Yannick Alléno & Michel Chapoutier
History
Collaboration launched in 2010 between the starred chef Yannick Alléno (nine Michelin stars) and the Rhodanian winemaker Michel Chapoutier, united by the same passion for terroirs and wine pairings. Their first common wine was a Saint-Joseph, followed by a Crozes-Hermitage and then a Côtes-du-Rhône, in an adventure still underway around wine and gastronomy.
A range of wines born from the collaboration between Yannick Alléno and Michel Chapoutier ("Crown of Chabot", Côtes-du-Rhône, Crozes-Hermitage "Guer Van"), conceived as a "chef range" based on a parcel selection in the heart of the North Rhône Valley.
The Vineyard
Cuvées from selected plots in Saint-Joseph (including the locality of Chabot, thirty-year-old vines on fine granite soils, late sector of Tournon-sur-Rhône) and Crozes-Hermitage. Manual harvesting, scraping, slow fermentation in small concrete vats, maceration for about 4 weeks, ageing for 16 months in barrels.
