Winegrowers
Your wine has a story. We open Brazil to it.
MAISON 1822 imports and distributes a tightly held selection of wines, champagnes and spirits in Brazil. We work directly with estates, without unnecessary intermediaries, and we make the case for every cuvée with Brazilian restaurants, hotels, wine shops and distributors.
If you are a winegrower or run an estate, and the Brazilian market interests you, this page is for you.
What we bring
- A market still taking shape — Brazil is discovering French wine through more than the major brands. There is room for estates with something to say.
- Complete logistics — temperature-controlled transport, customs formalities, product registration, local taxation. You do not have to build that expertise.
- Work on the ground — tastings, training for service teams, presence on wine lists. We do not simply leave pallets in a warehouse.
- The estate's story — your terroir, your practices and your history are carried over to our product pages and our regional pages.
- A direct relationship — a single point of contact, clear commitments, feedback from the field.
What we look for
We do not select on volume. A two-hectare estate interests us as much as a historic house, provided the wine has an identity and the person behind it knows why they make it that way.
We pay attention to consistency from one year to the next, to the ability to set aside a few hundred bottles for export, and to a genuine willingness to follow a distant market over time.
How it works
- You introduce your estate using the form below.
- We get back to you within a week.
- We taste your wines, at the estate or from samples.
- We define the cuvées, the volumes and the terms together.
- Your wines join our Brazilian catalogue.
