BRIO DE CANTENAC BROWN

After a cold January, a rather mild February and March allowed for rapid and even bud break. The vintage is set to be early, with a particularly beautiful April and large temperature swings, including a frost episode on April 27th and 28th under a perfectly clear sky. Fortunately, most of Château Cantenac Brown's vineyard did not suffer too much loss. The following months were warm, especially at the end of June when a heatwave boosted vegetation; July and August remained reasonable, and the vines maintained their lead over the thirty-year average. The summer was slightly cooler than usual, and early September rains confirmed a great potential achieved through constant attention: leaf thinning, shoot removal, and green harvesting on the most laden plots.
