Luiz Argenta
History
Vinícola Luiz Argenta is named after the father of the family. In 1999, his sons Deunir and Itacir Argenta took over the property, which previously belonged to Granja União, one of the pioneers of fine wines in Rio Grande do Sul. The matriarch, Clorinda Argenta, is in the spotlight at the estate's restaurant, Le Clô.
Family estate of Flores da Cunha, in the heart of the Serra Gaúcha (Rio Grande do Sul), in the Altos Montes Indication of Origin. The wines are signed by oenologist Edegar Scortegagna and are divided into three lines: Jovem, light and fruity wines from recent vintages; Clássico, wines of average structure aged for up to nine months in oak barrels; Cellar, the most ambitious line, derived only from exceptional vintages, of great structure and fine ageing. The espumantes, developed in the Jovem and Clássico lines, are a specialty of the estate, which invests in an underground cellar dedicated to them.
